Where to sell scrap metal in Deva and Hunedoara: what to know before you set off

Whether it's a pile of scrap left over from a renovation, a broken washing machine or a few copper pipes, the question is the same: where do you take it to get a fair price? Here's how it works at our yard in Cristur, between Deva and Hunedoara.

In short

  • Our yard is in Cristur, Deva, at Șoseaua Hunedoarei 13 — Mon–Fri 8–17, Sat 8–13.
  • We take scrap iron, copper, brass, aluminium, cables, batteries and broken appliances.
  • Sort metals at home: mixed, they're paid at the cheapest metal's price.

Where to find us

Our collection yard is at Șoseaua Hunedoarei 13, Sat Cristur, Deva — on the road between Deva and Hunedoara, easy to find and with room to manoeuvre cars, trailers and trucks.

We're open Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 17:00 and Saturday from 8:00 to 13:00. If you're bringing a large load or something unusual, call ahead so we have the right equipment ready.

What we take

We take all kinds of scrap iron and steel — sheet metal, pipes, sections, cast iron, car parts, broken tools — and non-ferrous metals: copper, brass, aluminium, lead, zinc. We also take insulated electrical cables, car batteries, and broken appliances and electronics.

If you're not sure whether something is accepted, take a photo and send it to us or give us a call. It's easier than hauling it over for nothing.

How weighing and payment work

Everything is weighed on the spot, in front of you, on a verified scale. You get a weighbridge ticket for every handover, showing the weight and the type of metal.

The price depends on what you bring: iron has one price, copper another, aluminium another. If you bring them mixed, everything is paid at the cheapest metal's price, so it's worth sorting them at home.

A lot of material? We'll come and get it

For companies or large quantities — an emptied warehouse, a demolished building, an old machine — we come with a truck and a grapple crane, anywhere in Hunedoara county and beyond.

Tell us what you have and roughly how much, and we'll tell you when we can come. Weighing is done at our yard, and you get all the paperwork.

Frequently asked questions

Do you buy scrap metal from private individuals?
Yes. Bring your ID, we weigh on the spot, and you get paid along with the weighbridge ticket.
Do you collect scrap metal from people's homes?
For large quantities, yes — we have trucks and a grapple crane. For a few pieces, it's usually simpler to bring them to the yard yourself.
How much do you pay per kilo of scrap iron?
Prices change often, following the metals market. Call us on the day you plan to come and we'll give you the current price for what you have.
